One of our most popular and successful treatments, FraxelŽ is the latest, top of the range, FDA approved laser skin resurfacing treatment. It has many benefits, targeting fine lines, sun damage, wrinkles and pigmentation problems. FraxelŽ is also FDA approved for its extremely impressive effects on acne and surgical scarring. A full consultation with our highly experienced FraxelŽ Specialist Surgeon is the first step in your journey. Here a full skin assessment is carried out and whole procedure is discussed and explained. After your first FraxelŽ laser treatment you will begin to feel the difference in your skin. Depending on your requirements, your optimal outcome should be acheived in about 3-5 sessions. The procedure takes about 2 hours with a short healing time of 1-4 days.
How does it work?FraxelŽ Laser Treatment produces thousands of tiny laser spots which penetrate deeply into the dermis in zones. The laser is so precise that it penetrates the outer layer of the skin, leaving it completely intact, whilst eliminating old epidermal damaged cells. For every zone the laser targets it leaves the surrounding area intact. This 'fractional' targeting allows the skin to heal much faster than if the entire area were treated at once, using the natural healing process to create new healthy tissue to replace skin imperfections.
Treatment and RecoveryA numbing cream is applied to your face for about 1 hour and treatment lasts approximately 1/2 hour. After each treatment the area affected may be a little pink, but time off work is not usually required. Gallery Images
