Mole & Skin Tag Removal is a minor surgical procedure performed under local anaesthetic to safely remove unwanted moles, skin tags, cysts and benign skin lesions. Treatment may be sought for cosmetic reasons or where a lesion causes irritation or requires further investigation.
Every treatment begins with a thorough assessment of the lesion. Depending on its size and depth, removal may involve a shave excision, surgical excision or another minor surgical technique. The area is numbed using local anaesthetic before the lesion is carefully removed. Fine sutures are placed where necessary, and tissue can be sent for histological examination if clinically indicated. Most appointments take approximately 30 minutes.
