Mesotherapy (Filorga)

Mesotherapy is an injectable treatment that delivers a custom combination of skin-enhancing ingredients to your complexion.

During your consultation, we will discuss your skin concerns to determine which formulation the nurse will administer through your Mesotherapy treatment. It will usually contain a blend of hyaluronic acid, vitamins and amino acids.

Before your treatment, we may apply a topical numbing cream to your skin.

Through a series of fine injections, a bespoke blend of peptides, growth factors and antioxidants are delivered into the mesoderm (the middle layer of the skin) from between 1-4mm beneath your skin to improve skin quality and function.

We can use Mesotherapy to treat the face, hands, neck and body.

Mesotherapy is a popular treatment for those who suffer from acne scars; the blend of ingredients can improve post-inflammatory pigmentation and enhance collagen levels to help repair pitted scars.

It’s also a treatment that can provide intense hydration and revitalisation while boosting overall radiance.

Since Mesotherapy can counteract free radical damage and ignite fibroblast activity, it makes it effective at treating superficial lines and wrinkles.

It can also be suitable for those who have:

• Dry, irritated and sensitive skin
• Unexplained flakinesS
• A busy and fast-paced lifestyle and are lacking essential vitamins and nutrients

• Uneven skin tone (i.e. pigmentation)

Results improve with each progressive treatment spaced over several sessions. The results vary from patient to patient depending on the type of Mesotherapy. Juvéderm Volite lasts as long as nine months. As the skin starts to improve, there will be more of an interlude between each treatment.

This treatment takes approximately 30 minutes – 1 hour.

You may experience bruising and redness which generally resolves after a week.

Other possible side effects include (but are not limited to):

• Irritation or allergic reaction
• Swelling
• Infection
• Post-inflammatory pigmentation from the injection trauma
• Scarring of injection site

Generally, a patient will need around ten sessions to see optimal results. The number of treatments required will vary from patient to patient, depending on the patient’s skin concerns.

These sessions are usually weekly for the first month, every two weeks over the second month, and sporadically from then onwards depending on how your skin responds to treatment.

Some patients find the treatment mildly uncomfortable. We can apply topical numbing cream to minimise any discomfort.

FILLMED MESOTHERAPY

The FILLMED mesotherapy formulation treats skin laxity and wrinkles and can enhance overall skin radiance. The fusion of 55 active ingredients includes free-radical fighting antioxidants, amino acids and proteins that strengthen the skin barrier and hydrate the skin.

JUVÉDERM VOLITE MESOTHERAPY

Volite Mesotherapy contains hyaluronic acid to improve skin quality and condition. Juvéderm Volite cross-links hyaluronic acid particles to improve consistency and give a smooth. The hyaluronic acid draws moisture to the skin to keep it looking plump, glowy and hydrated.
