You may be more suited to a lip lift if you have small lips, or you have a long distance between the bottom of your nose and your upper lip. A lip lift can also give more satisfactory results for concerns like downturned mouth corners, or inverted lips.

There are various types of lip fillers, techniques and aesthetic options available. We carefully administer the filler to harmonise with your existing facial proportions. The ability to improve the appearance of the lips is diverse, from defining the border or the lips or enhancing the cupid’s bow, to subtly boosting their fullness.

Price & Patience

The price can be an indication of expertise and quality of product. At 111 Harley St., we solely use genuine Juvéderm and Restylane products. It’s also important to remember that you may not achieve your desired look within one treatment session. Creating a new lip shape and size can take several appointments.

Filler Longevity

Typically, filler lasts around 4-6 months. Boltero can last up to a year. Your metabolism will affect how fast it dissolves. If you’re looking for a more permanent solution, you may want to explore the possibility of a lip lift. The surgery is quick and can be performed in-clinic, with minimal downtime and does not require general anaesthesia.

Shape

Different techniques can produce different shapes of the lips. Instead of filling the entire lip, we can inject the filler in certain parts of the lips in varying quantities.

Or, if you’re looking for fuller lip and a treatment administered by a doctor, Dr Ivona specialises in creating her signature Diamond Lip shape. This involves a delicate amount of filler to define your Cupid’s bow and lower lip – not dissimilar to the points of a diamond – while the body of the lips remains full and luscious.

Technique

The best lip injectors will take a natural approach to treatment and have a vast amount of experience to have perfected their injection technique. They should be fully qualified and have a deep understanding of the anatomy of the lip, and understand how specific techniques can enhance the lips in different ways…

For example, the practitioner or Doctor may inject through the outer border (vermillion border) of the lip, which creates a poutier look and can enhance the cupid’s bow.

We also sometimes combine the treatment with Botox in what’s called the “Botox lip flip”. The practitioner or Doctor will inject Botox sparingly along the lip border. The technique flips and rolls the upper lip so that you have more upper lip show, giving a plumper pout.

Additionally, we can inject Botox into the ‘DAO’ muscles to release and lift droopy or downturned mouth corners. The result is subtle but can improve the overall outcome in combination with fillers.

Types Of Lip Filler

We use hyaluronic acid fillers for the lips. Hyaluronic acid is a natural occurring substance and therefore, unlikely to cause an allergic reaction. It also causes less bruising than other fillers and works to trap moisture within the lips for extra hydration. The brands we use are Restylane and Juvéderm. The type of filler used will depend on your aesthetic goals as they vary in thickness and consistency. There are several filler types that allow for ultimate precision and control of the lip filler shape, size and volume.

Juvéderm Volbella is the filler of choice for lips in our clinic and gives very natural results. This filler type is best for redefining the lip shape as well as enhancing their overall size. It’s also an excellent option for ageing lips as you can fill in the lines around the mouth too.

Juvéderm Volift contains hyaluronic acid with Vycross technology to give a smooth result. It provides a more noticeable enlargement in size and volume.
