Traditionally pigmentation, freckles and sunspots have been difficult to treat however, with the advanced research behind laser treatments, technology such as the Cynosure Laser has been created to effectively treat pigmentation. At 111 Harley St., Cynosure Laser Treatments for pigmentation is our most progressive treatment for pigmentation yet. Focusing on improving and lightening the pigment in your skin cells, the treatment causes the melanin to rapidly heat up and break down, reducing the appearance of the pigmentation overall. This treatment is remarkable for improving benign pigmented lesions, age spots, sun damage, freckles and acne scarring.

    Cynosure Laser for Pigmentation FAQs

    The area will be cleaned beforehand before the laser will be applied. Using the Cynosure Laser at 75 nm, the laser is targeted at the area, focusing on dispersing and breaking down the melanin.

    Following the treatment SPF and post-laser cream will be applied to soothe and protect the area.

    The procedure is suitable for those wanting to improve pigmented areas or have particular concerns such as Solar Lentigos, small clusters of freckles and sun damage.

    We recommend that your skin is as pale as possible ( no sun tan or fake tan) and that the skin isn’t bruised or cut beforehand.

    After the first session you should notice a slight improvement on the pigmented area but significant improvement after 3 sessions.

    15-30 minutes depending on the area being treated.

    Like with any laser, it is important to protect the skin afterwards to avoid sun exposure and further hyperpigmentation forming.

    No downtime is required.

    1-3 sessions is highly recommended.

    Pain is subjective however many of our patients note little to no pain or discomfort.

    It certainly can, we recommend Harmony Laser and peels.
