    Treatment Overview

    Non-ablative 1570nm laser treatment

The 1570nm non-ablative fractional laser is an advanced treatment designed to rejuvenate the skin from within. It can be combined with an ablative laser for dramatic results, or work to gently heat the deeper dermal layers to stimulate elastin production for a milder resurfacing effect compared to our CO2 Fractional Laser Treatment. This treatment results in powerful elastin stimulation, natural skin renewal, and visible improvements in tone, texture, and elasticity. Restore your skin to it’s former glory today…

What is a 1570nm Laser Good For?

One of the greatest advantages of the 1570nm wavelength is its ability to deliver safe and effective results across all skin types. It is particularly well-suited for individuals who want to smooth fine lines and wrinkles, fade scars or stretch marks, and restore a healthy, radiant glow to their complexion. The treatment gradually enhances the skin’s firmness and texture without the risks or extended recovery associated with CO2 Fractional Laser Resurfacing. It can, however, be combined with our CO2 laser where together you’ll have a dual collagen and elastin-stimulating effect.

During the treatment, controlled laser energy penetrates into the dermis, where it stimulates the body’s natural production of collagen and elastin. Over the following weeks and months, the skin becomes tighter, smoother, and more youthful-looking. Treatments are quick, typically lasting between 20 to 45 minutes, and some downtime can be expected, such as mild redness and track marks, which may occur for around 4 days. When combined with a Co2 laser, the downtime can be up between 8-14 days.

For best results, a series of three to five sessions is often recommended, with gradual improvements becoming more noticeable after each treatment. Unlike temporary cosmetic solutions, the benefits of elastin regeneration continue to develop over time, offering long-lasting enhancements to your skin’s appearance and health.

This treatment is an excellent choice for anyone struggling with early signs of ageing, acne scars, surgical scars, stretch marks, or uneven skin tone. It provides a safe, effective, and comfortable way to achieve smoother, firmer, and more luminous skin without the need for invasive procedures.

At our clinic, we combine the latest FDA-approved technology with personalized care to ensure that every treatment is tailored to your unique skin needs. As yu’ll be in the hands of our Aesthetic Nurse, she is committed to delivering a thorough treatment, while prioritising your safety and comfort.

Now is the perfect time to discover how the 1570nm non-ablative laser can restore your confidence and help you love your skin again

Before having this treatment, a topical numbing cream will be applied for around 45 minutes to an hour. This will make the treatment much more comfortable for you.

One patient described this laser treatment as feeling quite ‘spicy’ on the skin, and one patient said that it feels similar to when oil spits on your skin from a pan while cooking.

Luckily, due to the advanced nature of the laser, the treatments are very quick so this will help ensure any discomfort experienced is minimal.

The 1570nm non-ablative fractional laser works by delivering targeted thermal energy deep into the dermis, where it penetrates water-rich tissue and creates controlled microthermal zones without damaging the surface of the skin.

This wavelength is particularly effective because it bypasses the epidermis and focuses its energy at a depth where collagen and elastin fibers reside, generating a uniform heating effect that stimulates the skin’s natural repair mechanisms. One of the most important biological responses triggered by this process is the production of heat shock proteins, which are specialised molecules that act as cellular protectors and messengers during times of stress. When the skin cells sense the rise in temperature, they respond by up-regulating these proteins, which in turn activate fibroblasts and initiate a cascade of healing and regenerative pathways.

This controlled stress response encourages the breakdown of old, damaged collagen and the formation of new, stronger collagen fibers, leading to improved firmness, elasticity, and texture over time. As the laser heats without ablating the surface, patients experience powerful dermal remodelling with minimal downtime, making the 1570nm laser a scientifically-backed solution for rejuvenation, scar reduction, and long-term skin health.

The 1570nm non-ablative laser offers the perfect balance of results and convenience stimulating deep elastin renewal to smooth wrinkles, fade scars, and restore youthful firmness with little to no downtime.

It’s safe for all skin types, it delivers long-lasting improvements in:

    • Texture
    • Tone,
    • Radiance

Making it one of the most effective and patient-friendly treatments for total skin rejuvenation!

Yes you can! The biggest benefit of combining both is that the CO2 laser stimulates collagen, while the 1570nm laser triggers elastin production. So when you combine them together you’ll not only experience less downtime compared to having a solely CO2-based treatment, but you’ll increase both these essential anti-ageing proteins for healthier, younger skin.

Combining a CO₂ laser with a 1570nm non-ablative laser offers a powerful, synergistic approach to skin rejuvenation by addressing both the surface and deeper layers of the skin in one.

By combining these two modalities, patients benefit from the immediate resurfacing and tightening effects of the CO₂ laser along with the long-term collagen renewal and scar remodelling promoted by the 1570nm wavelength. This dual approach allows for more comprehensive results, such as smoother texture, improved tone, reduced scars, and firmer, more youthful-looking skin, and often with fewer total treatment sessions than using either technology alone.

When performed by Dr Yannis, this combination delivers transformative outcomes while still balancing safety and recovery time.

The CO₂ laser is an ablative technology that precisely removes microscopic columns of damaged skin tissue on the surface, effectively improving issues such as deep wrinkles, pigmentation, and textural irregularities. This resurfacing action not only reveals fresher skin but also primes the tissue for deeper remodelling.

The 1570nm non-ablative laser, on the other hand, penetrates beneath the epidermis into the dermis, where it gently heats the tissue to stimulate elastin production through controlled thermal injury and the activation of heat shock proteins.

    Why 111 Harley St.?

    • We can offer you a complimentary Skin Diagnostics Scan, where we analyse your skin and reveal any superficial or deep epidermal damage, any areas that a laser resurfacing treatment will help resolve.
    • Many of our surgical patients will benefit from this treatment to help improve their skin’s quality which cannot be enhanced through surgery. While the skin structure is elevated and repositioned through a procedure such as a Facelift, the skin’s quality and collagen content can only be enhanced through collagen-remodelling and resurfacing treatments.
