With limitless options for rejuvenation, our laser goes above and beyond the standard use of a CO2 fractional laser, and enables Dr Yannis to determine every aspect of your treatment. How does a C02 Fractional Laser work?

Our CO2 fractional resurfacing laser offers an optimal, dual-laser strategy that delivers a fully-customisable ratio of ablative and non-ablative energy. This is ideal for resurfacing the skin and treating wrinkles, scars and pigmentation. The laser’s light vaporises damaged outer layers of skin, and heats the underlying dermis which triggers a controlled healing response. This process removes damaged cells, stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, and promotes the growth of healthier skin cells.

How Fractional CO2 Treatments will Enhance Your Surgical Result

For all those thinking, ‘why would I need a laser treatment after surgery?’ Well, this is very common practice in the United States – a country traditionally known to be at the forefront of Plastic Surgery advancements, and as Dr Yannis trained in the USA, is an American board-certified Plastic Surgeon, (as well as European-certified) and one of the founding faculty members of the New York Facelift and Rhinoplasty Masterclass – it is only right that he brings the latest techniques and technologies to Harley Street, London.

Dr Yannis was an early advocate for implementing skincare into pre and post-surgery protocols, and he still gives our inaugural Dramatic Healing Serum to patients after surgery to help accelerate their skin healing and recovery. This then led to the creation of 111SKIN – the globally-known skincare – known for the iconic Repair Serum NAC Y2 and bringing sheet masks into the western world back in 2010.

Dr Yannis’ surgical philosophy evolves and is built upon strengthening and improving the skin’s quality. He knows better than anyone that surgery can improve structure, elevation and position – but it cannot improve the skin’s quality and texture. As Dr Yannis is an expert in all-things-skin, he has a three-dimensional knowledge of how the skin heals, and how skincare when combined with skin-strengthening technologies is the best way to expedite Facial Surgery recovery and results. After a laser treatment, the appearance of scars will be improved; making them flatter and imperceptible, new collagen and fibroblasts proteins will be stimulated which is essential for skin health, strength and elasticity, and your skin tone and texture will be smoother and more flawless.

The benefits of a laser resurfacing treatment after surgery means you’re at the final level for total skin rejuvenation. After surgery, your facial scaffolding has been improved, and this treatment is the perfect way to build upon your great result. It is the final polishing for your skin.

5 Things You Need To Know About The CO2 Laser

    – It’s not just for wrinkles: CO2 lasers can also target stretch marks, surgical scars, and even skin lesions.

    – It’s customisable – we can completely adjust the intensity to deliver a treatment that reflects your unique skin composition.

    – Results take time. Collagen remodelling takes weeks or even months for the full effect to be seen, so patience is key.

    – You have to avoid any sun exposure post-treatment, so SPF50 is going to be your best friend.

    – For the first few days, redness and peeling can feel intense – but trust that your skin will be healing, and is working hard to rebuild itself.

The CO2 laser which is the optimal blend of ablative and coagulative effect for an efficient, highly-precise fractional laser treatment. This is an 10,600nm (CO2) and means this will deliver the perfect resurfacing effect.

The two primary functions of our Co2 treatment is to rejuvenate the skin of the face and neck, and dramatically reduce the appearance of scars.

We are also incorporating this laser into our Facelift recovery protocol to dramatically improve the skin quality, reduce the appearance of lined and crepey skin, which will enhance your overall surgical result.

It also incorporates a smart software server as a tool that benefits both the us and you. This essentially means that by enabling a matrix of options, including skin type, the area being treated and other parameters, each treatment is totally customised for your unique needs and skin type.

    • We can offer you a complimentary Skin Diagnostics Scan, where we analyse your skin and reveal any superficial or deep epidermal damage, any areas that a CO2 treatment will help resolve.
    • Many of our surgical patients will benefit from this treatment to help improve their skin’s quality which cannot be enhanced through surgery. While the skin structure is elevated and repositioned through a procedure such as a Facelift, the skin’s quality and collagen content can only be enhanced through collagen-remodelling and resurfacing treatments.
