111SKIN Micropen Facial

111SKIN Micropen facial is favourite for many celebs including the likes of supermodel Cara Delevingne.

The technologically advanced process of micro-needling induces collagen production by triggering the skin’s repair response. The result reduces the appearance of open pores, wrinkles and fine lines, scars, pigmentation and more… It has an overall rejuvenating effect, producing a tighter, healthier and brighter complexion.

The treatment is versatile, using differing needle depths to target skin concerns. It can be used on the face, neck, décolletage and scalp. Through creating micro-channels, the efficacy of product absorption following a Dermapen treatment is optimised.

Facial Process

After cleansing and massaging the skin, the micropen is used to stimulate cell regeneration, even around the gentle eye area. The micropen works with the skin’s natural repair system by making precise micro punctures, similar to the derma roller, to stimulate cell regeneration. The unique spring-loaded tiny tip offers a more controlled and safer treatment than other micro-needling devices. The vibrating technology of the micropen reduces any redness or discomfort during the treatment. Then your practitioner will massage 111SKIN Y Theorem Serum into the face. This intense concentration of anti ageing ingredients penetrates and heals the skin.

Post Facial Finish

Following the treatment your aesthetician applied the 111SKIN Bio Cellulose Mask. A mask that soothes the skin by regulating the temperature of the skin. It uses plant cellulose technology to create a second skin to ‘repair’ the micro-punctures. Following the mask, the practitioner will apply 111SKIN Black Diamond Cream. This product incorporates black diamond nano-particles designed to travel deeper into the layers of skin. This results in radiant skin immediately after the facial which will continue to improve over the next week.

111SKIN Micropen Facial FAQ

What skin concerns does the Dermapen facial treat?

• Scarring including acne scarring
• Hyperpigmentation
• Fine lines and wrinkles
• Open pores and rough skin texture
• Dull skin
• Stretch marks
• Mild skin sagging
• Alopecia

How long do the results last and when can they be seen?

You can expect to see some improvement in skin condition after around 6 weeks following your Dermapen treatment. At least three treatments are recommended to see initial benefits.

How many treatments are required?

Initially a course of 4-6 treatments are recommended, every 4-6 weeks with ongoing maintenance treatments.

Is the treatment painful and does it require anaesthetic?

The vibrating technology of the Dermapen is designed to minimise any discomfort, and a topical numbing cream can be applied prior to your treatment if desired. Patients report that the forehead and chin are the most sensitive areas, but the Dermapen glides over for only a few seconds.

You may experience redness following your treatment which is normal. It is also common for your skin to draw small pin pricks of blood.

How does the treatment work?

The non-invasive Dermapen facial involves the use of a hand-held device to create tiny micro punctures in the skin’s surface, triggering cell regeneration, healing and repair and accelerating the speed in which collagen is produced. In turn, age-related skin concerns such as fine lines and wrinkles are minimised. 111SKIN anti-ageing products are applied following the treatment, customised to your skin’s needs. The treatment will ensure that your skin benefits from optimal absorption of the ingredients.

What is the difference between micro-needling and Dermapen?

Unlike other micro-needling devices, the Dermapen has spring loaded tips which creates a safer treatment and puts the skin at less risk of damage. Micro-needling has become a popular at-home treatment, but needles of a depth of 0.25mm should only be used by professional aestheticians to avoid risk of scarring and infection. Greater depths will achieve better results.
