111GlassSkin

111GlassSkin

Achieving glowy, glass-like skin has never been easier thanks to our newest non-surgical treatment.

Inspired by our Aesthetic Doctor Dr Ivy’s years of aesthetic experience in Asia  – where the concept of glass skin was first invented – 111GlassSkin is a combination of injectable treatments to target the signs of ageing, soften the appearance of pores and texture, hydrate the skin from within and give your skin a new lease of life.

Oily skin is a skin type which means that your skin is looking shiny because of excess sebum production – this is often not desired by our patients who look for ways to reduce the appearance of oily skin.

Glass skin on the other hand, is when your skin naturally emanates light – you’ll visibly be glowing and your skin will be hydrated and refreshed from outside and inside.

The process begins with a friendly consultation with our Head of Non-Surgical Department. During this time they will discuss your reason for treatment, your concern and analyse the desired treatment area to examine if 111GlassSkin is the best skin treatment and course of action for you. You will then meet your Aesthetic Doctor, Dr Ivy.

On the day of the treatment, your Aesthetic Doctor  will cleanse the area before administering the micro-injections of Botox, Dermal Filler and Ameela. To minimise any discomfort, they will apply a topical anaesthetic.

The amount used will vary depending on the size of the area and the severity of the concern. You may feel a very slight scratch on the entry sites.

Dr Ivy may inject a lower dosage than initially expected – this protocol enables your aesthetic expert to assess how your muscles react to the treatment and to avoid side effects.

Our glass skin treatment is suitable for anyone looking to visibly enhance their skin’s brilliance, brightness and overall condition.

It is perfect for those who are showing the signs of ageing and are wanting to look naturally younger.

In our 111GlassSkin treatment, it works in three ways: targeting lines, dryness and lack of volume.

The Botox prevents the worsening of wrinkles and lines by targeting the underlying muscle that wrinkles the overlying skin. It restricts the contraction of the muscle, so the overlying skin appears smoother.

The Ameela in 111GlassSkin works to lift and nourish the skin from within as well working to brighten dark under-eyes and enhance  activity of hyaluronic acid. There are a plethora of regenerating benefits associated with Ameela which is why it’s our Vogue-featured treatment.

The Dermal Filler used during the treatment targets lack of volume – one common ageing concern we see a lot of in our clinic. As well as treating anti-ageing concerns, Dermal Fillers are also great for facial contouring, balancing the face and increasing hydration levels in the skin.

The best thing about 111GlassSkin is that improvements can be seen in minutes!

Ameela can give the skin a lift in around two minutes and the Dermal Filler also works almost immediately – giving you double volume in one session.

For the Botox, you can usually see muscle contraction in around two weeks. This can depend on how sensitive your muscles are although.

The permanency varies from patient to patient, but usually, the Botox starts to wear off first in around 3 months (again this can depend on certain individual factors like the strength of the muscles).

Ameela (formerly known as Nucleadyn) can stay in the skin for around 6-8 months, and Dermal Fillers can last for up to a year!

Immediately after the treatment there can be some swelling and redness but this should not affect your day-to-day activities too much!

Depending on the area, you can usually achieve the desired aesthetic outcome within one treatment, but this varies from patient-to-patient.

Maintenance treatments are required.

You may desire to repeat the treatment when you see your aesthetic concerns returning. For wrinkles, this may be every three-six months.

This treatment will take under an hour.

Each patient’s pain threshold varies, but generally, most patients don’t find this treatment painful. You may feel a slight sting as the needle enters the skin, however, we can apply numbing cream to minimise this.

During your consolation, we will discuss the associated risks and side effects with you during your consultation. Some risks include:

  • Possible headache for 24 hours after the treatment
  • Bruising and redness at the injection sites

Botox

Botox

With a diverse range of uses, our botox treatments, such as Baby Botox, can eliminate fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes, forehead and between the brows. It can also be an effective treatment to as reduce sweating, enlarged calfs and relax  jaw muscles and alleviate migraines. It is most commonly used as an anti wrinkle treatment, with repeat treatments required every 3-6 months.

The process begins with a consultation where we will discuss your reason for treatment and determine whether you are a suitable candidate.

The practitioner will make a series of injections to administer the substance. We can apply a topical anaesthetic to minimise discomfort. The unit will vary depending on the size of the area and the severity of the concern. You may feel a very slight scratch as the injections enter the skin.

In some cases, the nurse may inject a lower dosage than initially expected – this is standard practice when treating forehead wrinkles, particularly if you have a small forehead. It is essential to assess how your muscles react to the treatment to avoid eyebrow or eyelid drooping. Your nurse will discuss a follow-up appointment to administer the rest of the Botox.

Botox treats wrinkles by targeting the underlying muscle that wrinkles the overlying skin. It restricts the contraction of the muscle, so the overlying skin appears smooth. By inhibiting this movement, the toxin can create many other positive aesthetic effects or have health benefits.

It can take up to 2 weeks to see the full effect of Botox depending on the size of the area treated and the condition. For Botox to the masseter, it can take four weeks, and calf muscles can take six weeks before you see results.

The permanency varies from patient to patient, but usually, Botox starts to wear off after around 12 weeks. Its longevity also depends on the strength of the muscle.

Lip Fillers London Lip Fillers

Lip Fillers

Using injectable hyaluronic acid (a natural substance found within your body), we can reshape and add volume to the lips to plump and restore their appearance. The treatment can work well when combined with dermal fillers to improve the overall aesthetic of the mouth.

During your consultation, your aesthetic nurse will discuss your cosmetic goals and desires with you. They will also outline the treatment, the risks and possible side effects.

The technique and amount of injections will vary from patient to patient.

Your aesthetician will also discuss the type of filler best suited to you and your goals. The amount of filler injected typically varies between 0.5ml and 2ml. The injector may recommend that you start with a smaller amount, and gradually build up over a few treatment sessions until you achieve the result you are looking for; this gives the practitioner more control over the lip volume. Swelling can affect the outcome, and spreading the treatments out gradually allows your lips time to stretch and settle into their new shape without overfilling them.

The ideal candidate would have well-defined and reasonably sized lips and might be looking to add volume to the lips to enhance them. The success of the treatment will be highly dependent on your natural lip shape and size and expectations.

The results of your lip filler treatment will be visible immediately, but swelling may start to ensue shortly afterwards. The swelling typically lasts from 3-5 days, and you should get a final indication of your lips after around seven days.

Results typically last around 4-6 months, but this varies from patient to patient and depends on the type of filler. Some filler types like Juvéderm Volbella can last up to 12 months. The rate of absorption depends on your metabolism.

1-2 sessions depending on your desires, repeated every 4-12 months if you wish to maintain your results.

Tear Trough Fillers

Tear Trough Fillers

Dark circles are a common concern and should not be confused with ‘under-eye bags’ (malar mounds and festoons). Dark circles appear due to thinning of the skin, loss of fat and hyperpigmentation. Ageing, diet, lack of sleep and hydration, smoking, inflammation, allergies, skin tone and genetics can also play a role in the formation of dark circles and tear troughs. When dark circles are caused by a hollowing, otherwise known as ‘tear trough deformity’, fillers can be very effective.

The type of filler we use will depend on the severity of the hollowing as dermal fillers vary in consistency and suitability.

At 1111 Harley St., we often use Teosyal Redensity II that was specifically created to alleviate signs of ageing around the eyes. It’s made of cross-linked hyaluronic acid that allows it to spread and blend more easily and absorbs more moisture for longer-lasting results. It also contains nourishing minerals, antioxidants and amino acids to enhance the rejuvenating, anti-ageing and brightening effects.

The filler may contain Lidocaine to minimise discomfort during treatment. Alternatively, we can apply a topical numbing cream. Following this, your injector will make a series of injections. The Doctor or nurse may use a cannula to improve precision and control. This injectable technique also helps to minimise bruising.

Tear trough fillers are suitable for those with dark circles, loss of volume under the eyes and the early signs of ageing around the eyes. Some people have a genetic predisposition to developing dark circles, which can worsen with age as the skin becomes thinner and fat displacement begins to cause shadowing.

An ideal patient will have darkness due to volume loss, rather than those who are experiencing an accumulation of fat an excess fluid under the eye leading to an under-eye bag. Under-eye bags are often confused with dark circles as the under-eye bags can cause a shadow under the eyes. However, they may require laser resurfacing treatments or surgical removal.

For those with darker skin tones, under-eye dark circles can be more noticeable. However, when the appearance of dark circles is due to pigmentation or vascular issues, fillers are less successful.

The skin in this area is the thinnest on the body, making it particularly vulnerable to environmental damage and ageing. Dark circles appear due to thinning of the skin, loss of fat (creating hollowing and a tear trough deformity), and hyperpigmentation. Ageing, diet, lack of sleep and hydration, smoking, inflammation, allergies, skin tone and genetics can also play a role in the formation of dark circles and tear trough deformity.

At 111 Harley St., we favour the use of Redensity II for tear trough fillers. The combination of hyaluronic acid, amino acids, vitamins and minerals help to restructure and re-strengthen the eye area and replace lost volume. The hyaluronic acid improves skin hydration, and the vitamins fight ageing around the eyes to prolong the results.

The results will be immediate but will continue to improve as swelling and bruising dissipate.

The results will last approximately 6-12 months.
