Scars can occur at any age and after the fact of any trauma or condition, this can cause severe insecurities and psychological damage for those that have to see the scarring on a daily basis. For any individual, scars can hold onto a situation that many would like to forget and this is the beauty of cosmetic tattooing.

Medical or also known as ‘cosmetic’ tattooing is used to implant skin coloured pigment into the scar to reduce its visibility and help to camouflage the scar against your skin’s natural colour. Skin camouflaging products do exist but unfortunately they are temporary solutions that don’t alter the skin’s structure significantly for a warranted change. How does it differ from normal tattooing?
Adding colour to the area by implanting colour to the skin, cosmetic tattooing is a medically certified (significantly smaller molecule) that can be broken down to target the area. However, because the body can absorb the ink and pass it through the lymph system (unlike normal tattooing) it will need topping up as the pigment fades over time.
