What is iPixel?

iPixel is a non-surgical laser treatment that delivers pixel-sized energy beams into the skin from a hand-held device. It’s often referred to as a fractional ablative treatment which is the name of resurfacing procedures that use lasers to reduce the signs of ageing, improve skin texture, laxity, and tone, and reduce scars and stretch marks.

One of the best things iPixel is that it can achieve dramatic results in only one session, where you’ll be able to see immediate visible improvements.

How Does it Work?

During the treatment, your Aesthetician will go over the skin in passes where you can expect short, nano-bursts of light energy to be delivered expertly into the epidermis. You may feel a warm sensation, but this is an assured way of knowing that the treatment is working as the light is being converted to heat to produce the amazing renewing benefits.

As the light is absorbed it kickstarts the production of youth-enhancing proteins and triggers cellular renewal to begin remodelling collagen cells. So, you can expect younger-acting, softer, and flawless skin and lasting improvements to the skin’s quality. Did we mention that the collagen stimulated continues to be produced for three months afterwards? Yep. It’s a gamechanger.

One of the amazing things about this technology is that it’s so advanced its pixel-sized beams can target specific cells, leaving the surrounding skin undamaged. The heat will remove any damaged areas and stimulate collagen to fill these areas with healthier, newer skin cells. Not only will this accelerate healing times and makes it minimally invasive, it also means that the beams can penetrate deeply into the skin – enhancing the overall results.

What does iPixel target?

For any scar-related, pigmentation or skin texture concerns, iPixel is ideal as due to the micro-laser and pixel-patterning technology, which is attracted to any epidermal anomalies – like acne scars or sun spots – and dramatically diminishes them.

Other concerns it can treat are:

How many treatments will I need?

Typically, skin texture improvements can be seen after just one treatment. However, depending on your skin and the unique concern you wish to target, we may recommend regular treatments or a course to continually improve your skin and give you long-lasting results. We may recommend some 111SKIN homecare to elevate your results too.

Why is now Laser Season?

Now is laser season because as we transition into autumn and winter, unfortunately sunnier days are behind us… But that’s a good thing because after any laser treatments it’s integral to not exposure the treatment area to UV light. Therefore, the lack of sunshine makes it prime time for any light-based or laser resurfacing treatments as it means you don’t have to miss out on any events or outdoor activities while your skin heals. Plus, it means you can renew your skin after a long summer of soaking in potentially damaging UV rays.

Why choose iPixel?

One of the best things about iPixel is that the strength of the treatment is completely customisable, so if you’re looking for a quick refresh before a party you can have a less intensive treatment or a more concentrated session, vice versa.

It also combines very well with our AquaFusion treatment and can act as a recovery facial to flood your skin with hydration – especially if you’re experiencing any post-iPixel dryness. Another benefit of iPixel is that it is an inexpensive Potenza alternative for those wanting a similar renewing result.

Or, you can combined iPixel with ClearLift as an effective anti-acne treatment. Watch the video below for more information.
